Extreme Networks to Speak On Carrier Business Ethernet Services With Robust Service Level Agreements at Ethernet Expo

(Nasdaq: EXTR) today announced it will be exhibiting and speaking at Light Reading's Ethernet Expo, November 3-4, 2009 in New York City. On Tuesday November 3rd, the company will join industry experts on the panel, "Success Stories -- Addressing Enterprise Requirements for Ethernet Services with Dynamic QoS & Robust SLAs."

Extreme Networks is also pleased to announce that its BlackDiamond 20808 Ethernet Transport switch has been named a finalist in the Carrier Ethernet Switch/Router Infrastructure Solution category. According to Light Reading, "this award is given to the network equipment supplier that is shipping the best Carrier Ethernet switch and/or router infrastructure solution in the Americas." The winner of this award will be announced on November 3rd at the Hilton New York, during the exhibition and cocktail reception at Ethernet Expos America.

Carrier Ethernet Service Provisioning Demo in Booth 116

In its booth, Extreme Networks(R) will demonstrate its service provisioning solution, showcasing the point and click provisioning of protected Ethernet rings, as well as the activation of services across an Ethernet Transport network. This demo will showcase resilient Ethernet rings protected by the Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) protocol allowing service continuity in the event of a fiber cut.
