Extreme Networks BlackDiamond 8900-Series Modules Recognized Globally as Innovative Data Center Solution and Product of the Year

(NASDAQ: EXTR) today announced that its high performance Ethernet data center solution, the BlackDiamond(R) 8900-series modules, were recognized by leading publications around the globe for innovative features and a unique approach to boosting network performance in the data center.

Network Computing UK named the BlackDiamond 8900-series modules to its Finalists List in the categories of "New Product of the Year" and "Hardware Product of the Year" for its network industry awards in 2010. Separately, Korea's Digital Times recently named Extreme Networks BlackDiamond 8900-series modules its 2009 Switch Product of the Year.
